Rheumatoid arthritis pain can be relieved with cbd

Recent studies show that cannabidiol oil can be a great natural remedy for relieving rheumatoid arthritis and other joint pain.

Arthritis directly refers to joint pain, but the term is used to describe about 200 problems that affect the joints, tissues surrounding the joint and other tissues. Arthritis, a rheumatic condition, causes a range of symptoms and impairs a person’s ability to perform daily tasks.

Some people have found that they use CBD oil to relieve pain by helping to reduce the inflammation present in their joints. We have covered this topic a bit before, but in this article we will focus specifically on pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain Relief

Rheumatism and arthritis pain usually shows signs of pain, stiffness and swelling around several joints. Symptoms may come on gradually or suddenly. Some types of arthritis, such as rheumatism and lupus, can affect multiple organs and cause widespread symptoms.

According to a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 54.4 million adults and young adults have been diagnosed with some form of arthritis. Of these, 23.7 million experience excessive loss of activity due to pain caused by arthritis.

Arthritis is much more common in adults aged 65 and older. However, it can affect people of all ages, including teenagers and children. It is the leading explanation for disability in the United States, affecting more than 50 million Americans. The two most typical types of arthritis are:

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA):

An autoimmune disease in which the body’s defenses attack a person’s joints, causing inflammation. RA usually affects the extremities and results in painful, swollen and stiff joints.

Osteoarthritis (OA):

The most typical type of arthritis is osteoarthritis. A disease that affects the joint cartilage and bones, causing pain and stiffness. It also affects the hip joints, knee joints and toes.

CBD for arthritis research

Some animal studies have found that CBD can help treat arthritis and reduce associated inflammatory pain:

A study conducted in 2011. A 2011 study confirmed that CBD helps reduce inflammatory pain in mice by affecting exactly how pain receptors respond to stimuli.

Another review in 2014. Most of the current animal research believes that CBD can be an effective treatment.

A 2016 study revealed that topical application of CBD has the potential to help treat pain and inflammation associated with arthritis.

A 2017 study. A 2017 study found that CBD may be a safe and beneficial strategy for treating joint pain.

CBD oil and chronic pain

Cannabinoids like CBD bind to specialized receptors in the brain, altering a person’s defense mechanisms. One receptor, called the CB2 receptor, plays a role in the ability to fight disease by managing pain and inflammation.

Researchers believe that when CBD enters the physical body, it binds to CB2 receptors. Or it will cause our body to create natural cannabinoids that bind to CB2 receptors. Either way, experts believe that CBD acts on the receptors that respond to the signals they receive, possibly helping to reduce inflammation and pain.

Using CBD for Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain Relief

The options for using CBD are endless. People have found that creams or gels applied directly to the skin where pain is felt to be quite helpful in providing immediate relief. Other options include a more daily approach such as taking CBD in capsule form, tincture, or even drinking CBD-infused water.

We always recommend consulting a doctor before implementing CBD into your daily routine. We also recommend doing proper research on the dosage and products that are right for your body and your needs.
